Amanda wanted Elizabeth Cole because:
1) After December 31, 2010, she would no longer be available.
2) Her good friend at school had Felicity (Elizabeth Cole's best friend.)
Megan liked the "medium skinned, brown hair & brown eyed" girl.
One of the first things Amanda noticed Christmas morning, was that Elizabeth Cole did not come with any underwear. Megan announced that her doll did come with underwear. A bit ironic considering how little regard Meg has for such things.
Okaaay.
Fast forward to tonight. We're driving home from a lovely dinner at The Cheesecake Factory (thanks to a very generous gift card), when Amanda announces ...
Amanda: You know how Elizabeth Cole didn't come with underwear?
Me: Yeah.
Amanda: Well Felicity didn't come with underwear either!
Me: Hmmm.
Henry: Guess what, Amanda?
Amanda: What?
Henry: YOU didn't come with underwear either.
Touche'.
Oh the choices they have these days! When I was a kid, you got to choose from 3 American girls- Kristen, Samantha or Molly. I got Samantha. I thought for sure she came with "bloomers" of some sort. I guess if you're going to make a trillion types of dolls you have to cut costs somehow :-)
